About Grand Ballroom @ Rydges World Square
Rydges World Square is on Pitt Street at the southern end of the CBD, beside the World Square precinct and within walking distance of both Town Hall and Central stations. Its Grand Ballroom is one of the larger hotel ballrooms in the city centre, and the hotel has built its reputation on conferences and events. The room holds up to 550 standing and 500 theatre-style, seats 350 at banquet tables, 250 cabaret-style and 280 classroom-style. That range covers a gala dinner, a big work Christmas party, a school formal or a milestone birthday with a very long guest list. The hotel's conference and events team works through the planning with you and can tailor the setup and format. Catering is in-house, with a halal menu available, and the alcohol licence runs until midnight. Full AV is on hand — projector, screens, PA and conference-call equipment — and because it's a hotel, guests travelling in can stay on site.
