About Dynasty Lounge @ Dynasty Karaoke
Dynasty Karaoke is upstairs at 63 Dixon Street, in the middle of Chinatown in Haymarket. The Dynasty Lounge is its large-group space, combining a lounge bar, a live sports bar, a restaurant and a dance floor in one room — so a party doesn't have to choose between singing, dancing and sitting down to eat. The centrepiece is a stage with a 4.6m by 2.1m LED screen, used for karaoke, event visuals, slideshows and presentations. Microphones are on hand for karaoke, speeches and an MC, and you're welcome to bring your own DJ to play through the house sound system. It holds up to 100 guests; private bookings of the lounge start at 50 guests for a minimum of three hours. The bar pours wine, whisky, champagne and cocktails, and the kitchen sends out modern Chinese dishes, with party platter packages for groups. It trades late — until 4am — which makes it one of the few CBD-fringe spaces where a birthday can properly run into the early hours.

What does it cost?
Bookings start from a $1,500 minimum spend. For up to 80 guests it's $500 an hour Sunday to Thursday and $850 an hour on Friday and Saturday; larger groups are quoted individually.
