About Candid Snaps

Candid Snaps is a South West Sydney photo booth business that has been working events around Greater Sydney since 2017. Its whole approach is about getting a good-looking photo rather than a silly one: a professional DSLR, studio-grade lighting, a very light smoothing filter and an attendant who keeps guests looking at the lens. There are deliberately no prop boxes. Instead the focus goes on the backdrop and on a print design made for your event, which you build with the team through an online design quiz once the booking is confirmed. There are two booths. The Open Booth prints, with 2x6 strips as standard and 4x6 postcard prints as an add-on, and every person in a shot gets their own copy plus a spare for the guestbook. It costs $995 for three hours, $1,145 for four and $1,295 for five, and Friday to Sunday bookings need at least five hours. The GIF Booth is digital only, turning three frames into a looping GIF for sharing, and runs $800, $950 and $1,100 for three, four and five hours, with a four-hour minimum from Friday to Sunday. Both come with a tension pillowcase backdrop, an attendant, an iPad for airdrop, text and email sharing, and an online gallery after the night. Extras include a guestbook, boomerangs or GIFs on the Open Booth, postcard prints and additional hours. Setup happens an hour before your booked start and the booth is packed down straight after, so ask early if the venue needs a different arrival time. A $300 deposit secures the date and the balance is due 14 days out. It suits weddings, engagements, birthdays, school formals and Christmas parties where you want keepsake photos that still look good in years to come.

The Open Booth, which prints, costs $995 for three hours, $1,145 for four hours and $1,295 for five hours. Open Booth extras are postcard prints for $195, boomerangs or GIFs for $100 each and a guestbook for $120. An additional hour on either booth is $150. Travel beyond Sydney, Wollongong and the Blue Mountains starts at $150. A $300 non-refundable deposit confirms the booking.

How do I lock in a booking?

Fill in the booking form and they send an invoice. A non-refundable $300 part payment holds the date, and the balance is due 14 days before the event. If the event is less than 14 days away you pay in full up front.
