About Bondi Bowling Club
Bondi Bowling Club is at 1a Warners Avenue in North Bondi, next to Barracluff Park off Old South Head Road. The club has been part of the local community since 1933, and these days it is a relaxed spot for a casual game of bowls, a meal and a drink. All bowls are played barefoot to protect the greens. If some of your group would rather sit it out, there is table seating on the verandah and outdoor picnic tables. Rinks are booked online and take up to 10 players each, at $150 for an hour or $200 for two hours. Bigger groups can take several rinks. For a private event, the club has three function spaces. The Green Room holds 20 guests on its own or 50 when opened to the adjoining games area, and has a private balcony over the greens and a fireplace. The Piano Room takes 50, with big windows, a working fireplace and views of the bowling green. The Main Hall is a public area for 100 to 150 people with a stage, microphone and projector included. Each space has a $500 minimum spend on catering. The club runs a bar and kitchen, with weekly specials such as Taco Tuesday with margaritas, a mid-week burger and beer deal and a Friday curry night. Bowls are for guests aged 16 and over, and children are not permitted on the greens. If the weather makes play unsuitable, management may credit your booking to another date or put it towards food and drinks. It suits birthdays, work get-togethers and casual celebrations where the group wants something easygoing.

How much does barefoot bowls cost?
A rink costs $150 for one hour or $200 for two hours, and each rink holds up to 10 players. Larger groups can book more than one rink.
Is there a minimum age for bowls?
Yes. Every player must be 16 or older, and children are not permitted on the greens. Anyone under 18 must stay under the supervision of a parent or guardian because of licensing rules.
Do we need special shoes?
No. All bowls at Bondi Bowling Club are played barefoot to keep the greens in good condition.
Can we book a function room?
Yes. The Green Room takes 20 to 50 guests, the Piano Room 50 and the Main Hall 100 to 150. Each has a $500 minimum spend on catering, and enquiries go through the club's functions form or bookings email.
What happens if it rains?
Management decides whether the weather is unsuitable for play. If so, your bowls booking may be credited to a future date or put towards food and drinks. Once play starts, payments cannot be refunded or transferred, and no-shows are charged in full.

Old school lawn bowls club which is pretty cool. There are a couple of bowls pitches, tennis courts and inside the club there are darts. Good place for groups and occasions as well as grabbing a beer with mates.
