About Hyper Karting
Hyper Karting sits on Level 5 of the Entertainment Quarter car park in Moore Park, reached by lift or stairs from the main car park. The venue calls its main circuit Australia's longest indoor go-kart track, and it reconfigures the layout into three different tracks each week. The main track is for drivers 15 and over and at least 140cm tall, with up to 24 karts on track at once. Each race lasts about 10 minutes, and the full experience with briefing and kart allocation takes around 20 minutes. There are separate intermediate, junior and mini tracks for younger drivers on weekends. Groups under 25 can book straight online, and larger groups or anything involving catering go through the events team. For bucks, hens and birthday groups there are two packages, The Boys Are On and The Signature Send-Off, for up to 14 or up to 28 people, with exclusive races, warm-ups and a final, a 50-game arcade card each, top-three medals and a branded shirt. Corporate groups of 20 to 500 can hire the whole venue, with unlimited arcade play, main track races, and a 100 inch screen with a microphone for presentations. Catering is available trackside, with a choice of pizza or burgers, fresh fruit, sandwiches, deli meats and cheese platters, plus a non-alcoholic drinks package. Pizza and burgers are not available for morning sessions. Drivers must have a zero blood alcohol reading, and enclosed shoes are required. No licence is needed, but first-time drivers need photo ID. Parking is in the Wilson car park below, and on event days the desk can validate tickets for the casual rate.
