About Boardwalk Catering
Boardwalk Catering has run events from its Artarmon kitchen since 2014 and holds Gold Licence accreditation from the Restaurant and Catering Association, which covers food safety, insurance, work standards and food transport. The team caters private parties at home, corporate functions and weddings, and regularly works in private residences, apartments and penthouses, harbourside venues, rooftops, garden parties, marquees, office and studio spaces and exclusive hire venues. Its sister business, Paella Amor, holds the same accreditation. Menus come in four formats. Canapé menus are built from gold and platinum items, with longer menus adding a substantial dish and a dessert. Buffet menus combine gold and platinum dishes, with optional diamond items. Plated service is offered as two or three courses with a choice of entrées, mains, sides and desserts. Live food stations cover grazing, cheese, a seafood ice bar, desserts, oyster shucking, dumplings and dim sim, build-your-own sliders and paella. Dishes are marked vegetarian, vegan and gluten free, and menus are adjusted around dietary requirements. Boardwalk handles menu planning, staffing, equipment hire, styling and beverages, and can supply chefs, waitstaff and bar staff plus a full bar set-up. A minimum food spend of $1,100 plus GST applies to buffet and plated packages, and $900 plus GST to food station orders; if the minimum is not met, the difference is charged. Staff are billed separately, a travel fee applies to some locations and all prices exclude GST. Catering is available every day of the year, with a surcharge on public holidays. Menus can be downloaded from the site, and quotes come through the enquiry form or by phone.

What do Boardwalk's canapé menus cost?
Canapé Menu 1 is $39 per person for a two-hour event and includes five gold and two platinum items. Menu 2 is $49 per person for three hours and adds a substantial item, Menu 3 is $53 and Menu 4 is $59, both for four hours and both including a dessert item. All prices exclude GST.
Is there a minimum spend?
Yes. Buffet and plated packages carry a minimum food spend of $1,100 plus GST. Food station orders carry a minimum of $900 plus GST, and if the minimum is not reached the difference is charged. Waitstaff, bar staff and any travel fee are billed on top of the food.
What is included besides the food?
The team plans the menu, staffs the event with chefs and waitstaff, sets up, serves, packs down and leaves the venue clean. Equipment hire, styling support and beverage packages with bar staff can be added. Food stations include disposable plates, cutlery and napkins with basic styling.
Which parts of Sydney does Boardwalk cover?
Boardwalk services the entire Sydney metropolitan area and lists the CBD, Artarmon, Chatswood, the Eastern Suburbs, Macquarie Park, Mosman, the Northern Beaches, the North Shore, Surry Hills, the western suburbs and Western Sydney. A travel fee may apply to some locations.
Do they cater weekends and public holidays?
Yes. The team caters seven days a week, all year, including weekends and public holidays, which are popular dates for milestone birthdays and weddings. A surcharge applies on public holidays, and food and bar staff rates vary depending on the day of the week.
