About Felix

Felix is a 58-foot Salthouse sports cruiser with an open-plan layout that flows between indoor and outdoor spaces, taking up to 25 guests. The saloon is air-conditioned throughout, and a fully equipped central galley and bar sit at the heart of the boat, so food and drinks are never far away. Below deck there are two premium cabins and two modern bathrooms. Multi-zoned Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth surround sound system cover the boat, and a Seakeeper gyro stabiliser keeps her steady while cruising and at anchor, which makes a big difference when the group stops for a swim. On the water, add paddle boards, a pool pontoon or a Sun Chill float, and ask ahead for the complimentary lilypad. Felix suits a relaxed day out as much as a polished evening function, with waitstaff, catering and drinks packages available to take care of the details.

Pricing

Felix is $750 per hour from May to September with a 3-hour minimum, $850 per hour from October to April (excluding December) with a 4-hour minimum, and $950 per hour in December with a 4-hour minimum. A 20% surcharge applies on public holidays.

Waitstaff are charged on top: one is required for up to 12 guests and two for 13 to 25 guests, at $300 each for up to 4 hours and $75 per additional hour, with a 100% surcharge on public holidays. The wharf booking fee is $50 per wharf. BYO food currently carries no surcharge, and BYO drinks start from $20 per person.

Optional extras include paddle boards at $80 each (up to 4), a pool pontoon at $400 per charter and a Sun Chill float at $150 per charter, with the lilypad complimentary if requested in advance. A $2,000 deposit confirms the booking, the balance is due 14 days before, and a $1,000 refundable bond applies.

Food

Felix has a fully equipped central galley, and a catering menu is available with canape and platter, buffet and BBQ options, plus table dining. You're also welcome to bring your own food, and there's currently no surcharge for doing so. Plates, cutlery and serving equipment are provided.

Beverages

The standard beverage package is $15 per person, per hour, with unlimited sparkling, white and red wine, beer, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Add spirits for $5 per person, per hour, or champagne and spirits for $15. A kids' package of unlimited soft drinks and orange juice is $6.25 per person, per hour, and a roaming sommelier from Upstairs Wines can run a wine tasting for $400 (one per 20 guests) as an add-on to any package. Waitstaff are charged separately.

Drinks can also be ordered on consumption, from Veuve Clicquot at $140 and Chandon Brut at $70 a bottle to Aperol Spritz at $18, spirits with mixer at $15 and beer at $10.

BYO drinks are welcome from $20 per person, a fee that gives you the boat's eskies, glassware, crockery and cutlery, plus serving gear and utensils.

Wharfs & Availability

Felix is available every day. Charters are a minimum of 3 hours from May to September and 4 hours from October to April. Preferred times are 10am to 2pm, 11am to 3pm, 12pm to 4pm, 1pm to 5pm, 5pm to 9pm and 6pm to 10pm, though exact times can vary by date.

Pick-up options, subject to availability and fees, include King Street Wharf, Casino Wharf, ICC Wharf at Darling Harbour, Hollys Wharf at Pyrmont Park, Yeend Street in Balmain, Longueville Wharf and Huntleys Point. Watsons Bay is by request only. Manly is $200 each way and limited to 12 guests; larger groups stay within Middle Harbour because of rough water at the heads. Felix can't pick up from Man O'War Steps at Circular Quay, McKell Park at Darling Point or Taronga Zoo. The wharf booking fee is $50 per wharf.

Pre-loading drinks is free and, subject to scheduling, normally happens at Gladesville Bridge Marina on the day, before the charter begins.
