About Alan Hughes Photography

Alan Hughes lives near Peregian Beach and runs a studio on the Sunshine Coast, where he has photographed more than 700 couples. Originally from near London, he now spends most weekends at Noosa beach ceremonies, riverside receptions and hinterland weddings around Maleny and Flaxton. His approach is relaxed and observational. Rather than running couples through pose after pose, he offers a little direction and lets the day unfold, which suits everything from a one-hour elopement to a reception for well over 200 guests. Before the wedding he works with you on a timeline, then acts as timekeeper on the day so you can stay present. He is happy to lie on the ground or climb something for an unusual angle, and he can suggest wet weather alternatives when the forecast turns. Weekend weddings are covered from five hours upwards, while Monday to Thursday dates suit elopements and shorter coverage. Couples can book photography alone or a combined photo and video package, and most days he works solo, with a second photographer available as an option. Edited images arrive in a password-protected online gallery around three to four weeks after the day, along with web-sized files for sharing. Beyond weddings, Alan photographs and films corporate functions, galas, product and restaurant launches and executive portraits for businesses across the Sunshine Coast, with a fully equipped commercial studio for product and fashion work.

Service Details

Wedding coverage runs from three hours to the full day for weekend weddings of five hours or more, with elopements and shorter coverage on weekdays. Photography-only and photo plus video packages are offered, and a second photographer can be added.

Images are edited and delivered through a password-protected online gallery in about three to four weeks, with print licence and web-sized files. Corporate events, galas and launches are photographed and filmed on request.
