About The Events Centre Caloundra
The Events Centre Caloundra is a performing arts and conference venue on Minchinton Street, close to Kings Beach and Bulcock Street. Alongside its program of concerts and shows, it hires out two theatres and several function rooms for private and corporate events. A dedicated events team plans each booking, backed by an in-house technical crew. The Glasshouse is the main party room, with polished timber floors, a timber ceiling, plenty of natural light and a built-in bar. It seats up to 300 for dinner or holds 450 for a cocktail event, and LED mood lighting and AV trusses make it easy to theme. Its walls open into the Reef Room and Kings Theatre to form one space of 1,432 square metres. The Kings Theatre hosts gala dinners, conferences and school formals of 150 to 400 guests, with a large proscenium stage for speeches and entertainment. The Playhouse Theatre has 300 tiered seats and an orchestra pit, and can also set a private dinner on its stage. The Beausang and Reef rooms suit smaller groups, with banquet seating for up to 80. Food comes from a full banquet kitchen whose chefs cater for groups of 10 to 1,000 and adapt menus to the brief and budget. Options run from canapé receptions and buffets to plated two and three course dinners built around local produce. Drinks packages of half an hour to four hours cover sparkling, wine, local craft beer and soft drinks, and a cash bar is also available. The building has lift access, accessible bathrooms, a covered drop-off at the front doors and a free undercover car park.
