About Caloundra Power Boat Club
Caloundra Power Boat Club sits on Lamerough Parade at Golden Beach, opposite Woorim Park, right beside the Pumicestone Passage. Downstairs the club runs the Quarterdeck Restaurant and Portside Café, while the upper level is given over to functions. There are three air-conditioned function rooms, and each has its own fully stocked bar, a PA system and projection equipment. The Pelicans Room seats up to 130 or holds 300 standing, with a stage and an 8 by 6 metre dance floor. The Dolphins Room seats 100 or holds 200 standing, with a fixed dance floor and a glassed-in balcony over the water. The Waves Room suits smaller groups, seating 40 or holding 80 standing, and opens onto an outside deck. Out on the lawn, a white waterfront gazebo seats 30 for wedding ceremonies, christenings and naming ceremonies, though it has no wet weather cover. The club kitchen handles all catering. Function menus cover hot and cold platters, sliders, pizzas, a grazing table, buffets, breakfast buffets, plated meals and morning tea or lunch. Christmas lunch, dinner and buffet menus come with bonbons and table decorations. Wedding receptions are offered as cocktail, plated or buffet packages, each with a dance floor, audio system and microphone, and the room is yours until 11:30pm. Wines start at $7 a glass, with bar and table service in the function rooms. The club welcomes engagements, birthdays, graduations, corporate functions and weddings, and a functions coordinator helps choose the right room. The view is so peaceful and beautiful. We had a seating on the left handside. The room made the sounds amplified. Hard to find a parking at Saturday lunch time. You would go there for a view.
