Acqua Restaurant & Bar sits on the corner of The Esplanade and Otranto Avenue at Bulcock Beach in Caloundra. The dining room and deck face Pumicestone Passage, so the water is in view from most tables. The restaurant trades for lunch and dinner, with weekend breakfasts, and it also takes private bookings. Two options are offered: the front deck on its own, or exclusive use of the whole venue. The front deck suits smaller groups, with room for 30 to 35 people standing or 18 to 22 seated. It works well for a family lunch, a work dinner or a small celebration where the group wants its own space by the water. Whole-venue hire opens up both the indoor and outdoor areas, taking 90 to 100 guests standing or 70 to 80 seated. That suits a larger corporate function, a cocktail-style party or a wedding reception. The kitchen leans on seafood, pasta, risotto and grilled meats, with local produce such as Mooloolaba prawns and scallops. Deck groups can order from the à la carte menu or a set menu, while exclusive bookings are set menus only. On the deck, drinks run on a bar tab or a drinks package. Exclusive hire is run on an open bar tab, and the team can talk through menus and timing when you send an enquiry.
