About Dicky Beach Surf Club

Dicky Beach Surf Club sits on Coochin Street at Dicky Beach, just north of Caloundra and a few steps from the sand. The club runs a restaurant, a bar with a large LED screen for sport, and a function venue, and its takings support the local surf life saving club. Functions use two main areas. The Wreck is an indoor room for 60 cocktail-style or 40 seated, and the Deck is an all-weather space with the same capacity. Booked together, the Wreck and Deck take up to 120 for a cocktail event or 100 seated, with blinds and bi-fold doors closing them off for privacy. There is also a boardroom for 10 and a training room for 20 for meetings and conferences. Room hire covers white linen if needed, filtered water, Wi-Fi, a projector and screen or a 65-inch TV, and a Bluetooth or in-house sound connection. The club has ramp and lift access. Catering is built around cocktail-style platters, from sandwiches and classic party food to seafood, sliders, mezze and sweet platters, plus canapés walked around by staff. Vegan, vegetarian and dairy-free platters can be arranged, and other dietary needs are handled on request. The bar puts together drinks packages to suit the budget and the menu, with tap beer, wine, sparkling and cocktails to choose from. Bookings run as a full day until midnight or a half-day block at lunch or in the evening, and a $500 deposit secures the date.
