About Surfair Events Centre
Surfair Events Centre is the function side of the Surfair Beach Hotel on David Low Way at Marcoola, just behind the dunes of Marcoola Beach. The complex has function rooms, garden lawns, a lagoon pool, a bistro, a sports bar and on-site accommodation, so guests can stay where they celebrate. The Spinnaker Room is the main room, with full-height windows onto the pool, built-in speakers, a projector and a covered colonnade running along one side. It seats 100 and takes up to 200 for a cocktail wedding with a dance floor. The Beachfront Ballroom has high ceilings and no pillars, and it can be split into two or three rooms or used as one. Opened up it holds up to 240 standing, while the Reef Room half, with its own bar, is pitched at birthday drinks and cocktail parties of up to 100. Smaller groups can use the Sands Room, and the Longboard Room is a boardroom for 16. Outdoors, the Beach Bistro Colonnade is the casual pick for relaxed birthdays and after-work drinks. All catering comes from the in-house kitchen, as the venue is fully licensed and outside food and alcohol are not allowed, apart from a wedding cake. Options run from a $25 per person grazing board and canapé packages to platters, chef's stations and two or three course plated menus. Function rooms can run until midnight, after which guests can carry on in the Sports Bar. Send an enquiry to check dates and receive the function and wedding packs.
