About Coolum Surf Club
Coolum Surf Club stands on David Low Way at the south end of the beachfront strip in Coolum Beach, with a wide outlook over the Pacific from Point Perry to Noosa National Park. It is a not-for-profit community club whose earnings support the local volunteer lifesavers. Functions are held on the first floor, reached by a lift from the ground floor. Both function rooms are fully licensed with their own bar, air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible, and they look out to sea through floor-to-ceiling glass. The Main Functions Room takes 70 to 150 guests for a canapé event or up to 120 seated, and it is the only space where DJs and live acts can play. The Small Functions Room suits 20 to 35 people and has a projector, and the restaurant can be added to the main room for groups of up to 250. Function packages cover canapés, petite meals, a two or three course alternate-drop dinner and a shared wood-fired rotisserie banquet. Platters can be added, and the kitchen handles dietary needs with seven days' notice. Drinks run on a bar tab set up before or during the event, and a private bartender can be booked by the hour. Wedding couples can also choose hourly or pay-as-you-go drinks options. Wedding packages include styling, room hire and a night's stay across the road for the couple, and the deck can host the ceremony if the weather turns.
