About Coolum Beach Hotel

The Coolum Beach Hotel sits on David Low Way in the centre of Coolum Beach, a short walk from the sand and Coolum Village. Alongside its family bistro and sports bar, the pub runs a busy functions trade with five separate areas. The Beach Bar is the main function room, open in layout with lounges and a bar of its own. Full hire is for groups of 150 or more, and part of it can be taken for 40 to 100 guests. The Southern Deck is an undercover alfresco area that becomes private for bookings of more than 50, holding up to 80 standing or 50 seated. The Plaza, near the main bar, takes 50 for drinks or 30 at tables, and the Sports Lounge behind the sports bar suits 50 standing. For something smaller, The Alcove is a private room for up to 30 standing or 25 seated, used for intimate dinners, meetings and small celebrations. Every space can be set for cocktail-style mingling or seated dining. Food comes from the pub kitchen as share platters for eight to ten people or as two and three-course set menus served alternately. Platters range from fruit and dips to seafood, skewers, pub classics and gluten-free selections. Drinks can run on a tab settled at the end of the night or on a two or three-hour package at Silver, Gold or Platinum level. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, and bookings run for up to five hours.
