About Maleny Country Estate
Maleny Country Estate is a family-run property of 185 acres on Reesville Road in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. A long driveway lined with liquid ambers and old stone walls leads in past fig trees and pines, and the land rolls away towards the Blackall Range. The estate was first shaped by a Swiss craftsman, which explains its stone walls, timber details and the small St Albertus Chapel. The current owners have restored it carefully, keeping the original character and planting thousands of trees and shrubs across the grounds. Only one wedding is booked each weekend, and the couple has the whole property from Friday until Sunday. Ceremonies can be held in the chapel, on the Upper Lawn facing the range, or on the Garden Terrace. For receptions there is the Upper Lawn for an open-air dinner, or The Pavilion beside The Estate House. The Pavilion has high ceilings, white walls with stone cladding and glass doors that fold back to a covered verandah looking over the pool and hills, and it suits anything from a small seated dinner to 250 guests. There is no in-house catering, so couples choose their own caterer and bar service. The estate is fully BYO, provides a plating kitchen for caterers, and can recommend local food and drinks teams. RSA-qualified staff must serve any alcohol. Cottages, studios and two larger houses sleep up to 70 guests, so many weddings run over a full weekend. The estate also hosts corporate retreats, private dining and private parties on request.

The Signature package is tiered by guest numbers, from 31 guests up to 200 and beyond, and an Intimate package covers 11 to 30 guests midweek. A booking fee confirms the date once a tentative hold is accepted.

How many guests can Maleny Country Estate hold?
Wedding packages cover groups from 11 to 200 guests, and larger celebrations can be quoted separately. The Pavilion suits a seated dinner of up to 250 guests.
Is the estate shared with other events on the day?
No. The estate hosts just one wedding each weekend, and the couple has exclusive use of the whole property from Friday through to Sunday.
Can we bring our own caterer and drinks?
Yes. There is no on-site catering, so you choose your own caterer, and the venue is fully BYO for drinks. A plating kitchen is provided for caterers, and RSA-qualified staff must run any alcohol service, usually through your bar service team.
Are there options for small weddings?
Yes. An Intimate Wedding package for 11 to 30 guests runs Tuesday to Thursday, and elopements for up to 10 people, including the couple, celebrant and photographer, are also held midweek.
Can guests stay at the estate?
Yes. On-site cottages, studios and houses sleep up to 70 guests. Wedding packages include accommodation for the couple and wedding party in The Estate House, The Stone Cottage and The Studios.
