About Woombye Bowls Club
Woombye Bowls Club is a community lawn bowls club on Hill Street in Woombye, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Alongside pennant and social bowls, it hires out its clubhouse for private functions, and booking fees go back into the club's programs. There are two areas to choose from. The Dining Room is the larger of the two, with a stage, kitchen facilities and AV equipment, and the Bar area has the licensed bar, casual seating and access to the outdoor area. The Dining Room takes 100 guests at tables or 200 standing. The Bar area suits 50 seated or 100 for a stand-up gathering, so smaller parties can keep things compact. The club says it can host corporate dinners, birthday celebrations, work functions and Christmas parties, as well as weddings. The team works with each host to shape the event around what they need. Barefoot bowls can be added to any function for $5 a head. That covers the club's bowls and equipment, and a bowling member helps set up on the green and explains how to play. A $100 deposit confirms the booking and comes off the costs on the day. Hire after the 10am to 6pm trading window carries a $100 room charge per area, and the club keeps Friday evenings from 4pm free of private bookings, so send an enquiry with your date to check.
