About Boston Shaker Bar
Boston Shaker Bar is a cocktail bar on Parkyn Parade inside The Wharf Mooloolaba, styled on the glamour of the 1920s with red velvet, booth seating and a back bar lined with bottles. It is a small, family-run business that takes private functions of most sizes. There are three ways to book it. The Secret Room sits behind velvet curtains at the back of the main bar and suits 15 to 25 guests who want their own corner with full table service. The outdoor courtyard out the front holds up to 50 and is the budget-friendly pick for bigger groups. For larger events the whole bar can be hired exclusively. The main room has booths facing the bar and seats and stands up to around 100, with access to the courtyard and Secret Room included. The signature function is a hosted cocktail class at $125 per person for groups of eight or more. It includes the whole bar to yourselves for as long as two hours, an arrival drink, light share plates and three of the house cocktails made by your guests under a bartender's guidance. Outside the class format, the team shapes each event to the group's budget. Options run from fully catered food and an unlimited beer, wine and spirits package to a fixed bar tab, drinks only, or a relaxed night where guests buy their own. Both the main bar and the Secret Room have a projector for slideshows or presentations, and the AV setup lets you play your own music during exclusive hire.
