Moon Flower is a modern Chinese restaurant at 66 Francis Street in Northbridge. Its kitchen draws on regional cooking from across China, served as share plates alongside dim sum, signature cocktails and a boutique wine list. The restaurant presents itself as a backdrop for corporate events and social celebrations, and it offers private rooms for special occasions. Weddings and functions are a core part of the business, with dedicated banquet menus written for receptions. The main dining hall is set with large round tables dressed in white linen, each with a glass lazy Susan for shared dishes. Decorative lattice screens divide the space, and a red carpet can run down the centre aisle towards a screen at the far end of the room. A lounge area near the entrance has armchairs for guests arriving before dinner. Wedding banquets are priced per table of ten. The Golden Banquet costs $1,298, the Jade Banquet $1,398 and the Elegant Banquet $1,698, and each runs to nine courses, from a cold platter and soup through to fried rice and a sweet red bean soup to finish. Dishes across the three banquets include braised lobster with garlic and butter, green lip abalone, steamed coral trout, snow crab and king prawns. House red and white wine, tap beer and soft drinks are included in every banquet. Outside functions, the restaurant serves lunch most days and dinner every night, and a karaoke operation on site runs from the evening until late. Private function packages vary, so details are worked out with the restaurant for each booking.
