The Greenwood Hotel sits at 349 Warwick Road in Greenwood. It runs a steakhouse, a sports bar with plenty of screens and a beer garden, and sets aside seven areas for functions. The Function Room is the main private space. It has its own bar, courtyard and toilets, and can be laid out for a cocktail party of up to 100, a seated meal for 60, or theatre, banquet and classroom set-ups for meetings. An 85-inch screen in the Function Room handles presentations and slideshows, and a microphone can be requested. The room takes bookings from 9am, so it works for lunches and daytime events as well as evening parties. Smaller groups have several options. The Terrace is a private area for about 30 next to the brasserie bar, while The Lounge, The Verandah, the Courtside Bar and The Courtyard are semi-private zones for around 50 each, and The Coffee Corner seats 40 beside a fireplace. Food comes as shared platters, a two or three-course set menu for groups of 20 or more, or a tailored version of the main menu. The Function Room needs a $100 deposit to secure the date, which comes off the bill on the day. Final food choices are due, and food is prepaid, 14 days before the function.
