Birthday Party Venues in South Fremantle

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

South Fremantle's three birthday venues sit on South Terrace and Marine Terrace, and no two of them run a party the same way. The Local Hotel offers two plant-filled spaces with no DJs, Running With Thieves puts you inside a working brewery and distillery, while The Courtyard @ South Beach Hotel offers a covered courtyard for a big mingling crowd.

Matching the birthday to a South Fremantle room:

The Local Hotel's Garden Restaurant takes 30 to 100 at long timber tables under skylights, a fit for a birthday dinner.
The Local Garage, once a drive-through bottle shop, takes a cocktail crowd of 70 to 100 under a retractable roof, with spaces from $300 room hire.
Running With Thieves' Henry Simm Room, a whisky-bar-style lounge, suits a small group of 25 on their feet or 10 around a table, hire-free.
Its upstairs dining room above the brewing floor fits 100 standing or 60 at tables, and shared food is from $45 per person.
The Courtyard @ South Beach Hotel holds 180 for cocktails or 150 seated, with no hire fee for a reserved section and set menus from $45 per person.

The Local Hotel does not take bookings for 18th or 21st birthdays.
DJs and live music are not allowed in The Local Hotel's function spaces because of residential noise limits.
At The Courtyard @ South Beach Hotel, every birthday guest has to be 21 or older.
Running With Thieves lists birthdays without an age note, so check before planning an 18th.

Food and drinks across the three venues

The Local Hotel serves platters only, asking for one per four guests on exclusive bookings, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan covered.
Running With Thieves serves shared food for 16 or more, and its bar pours the venue's own beer, spirits and cocktails.
The South Beach Hotel courtyard offers canapés, pizzas, platters for 12, a high tea and sit-down set menus.
The Local Hotel charges drinks on consumption with no packages, and the courtyard uses a tab, a cash bar or both.
