About Pirate Ship Mandurah
Pirate Ship Mandurah is a hand-built, pirate-styled vessel that sails from the Eastern Foreshore Jetty, opposite 9 Mandurah Terrace. Alongside its public cruises, the ship can be hired outright, so your group has it to itself with a captain and a crew who stay in pirate character for the whole trip. Private hire suits birthdays, work functions, hens parties and farewells. Most groups book two hours, which allows a full loop of the Port Mandurah canals and the estuary with time to sit down and eat. The crew adjust the tone to the group, and dolphins are a regular sight on the water. There is no bar or liquor licence aboard, so guests bring their own food and drinks, carried on at the start and taken off at the end. BYO is limited to the last hire of the day, and anything more than light nibbles also needs that final slot. An esky of ice can be added on longer late hires, and two small tables are set up for catering on hires longer than an hour. The ship carries up to 50 guests, with 40 suggested when food is served. Kids parties are catered for too, from joining a public sailing to booking the whole ship midweek at a fixed price, and the crew sing happy birthday and handing out flags and lollipops.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can Pirate Ship Mandurah take on a private charter?
The ship holds up to 50 guests including infants. When a group is serving food, the operator suggests keeping numbers to about 40 so there is room to eat comfortably.
Can we bring our own food and drinks aboard?
Yes. There is no bar or liquor licence, so all food and drinks are BYO. This applies on the last hire of the day, and anything beyond light snacks also needs that final departure.
How long can we hire the pirate ship for?
Charters run from one to three hours, with two hours the most common choice. Midweek outside school holidays there is also a 45-minute whole-boat option at a fixed price.
Where does the pirate ship depart from?
Every charter boards at the Eastern Foreshore Jetty in Mandurah, opposite 9 Mandurah Terrace, near the traffic bridge. Pick-ups and drop-offs at other jetties are not offered.
How is a private charter booked and paid for?
Each hire is quoted individually. A non-refundable 25% deposit secures the booking, the remainder is paid a fortnight ahead, and no changes are accepted in the final 30 days.
