About Matagarup Zip+Climb
Matagarup Zip+Climb runs guided climbs on the Matagarup Bridge from a base at the northern end of Camfield Drive in Burswood. Guests are fitted with a full-body harness, briefed by a guide and stay attached to a continuous safety line for the whole climb. The full Zip+Climb takes about two hours. Climbers work up 314 steps and squeeze past beams to the SkyView platform, a glass-floored deck 72 metres up with views across the city, Optus Stadium and the Swan River, then launch from a 35 metre platform onto a 400 metre zipline. The Express Zip is a 90-minute option that climbs halfway up the back of the bridge before zipping down, and the Bridge Climb crosses the top and walks back with no zipline. Private group bookings suit corporates, social clubs, schools, birthdays and incentive groups, and the team can host from one guest up to 600 for larger corporate programs. Climbs go ahead rain or shine, with storms, extreme heat and strong winds the only reasons to pause. Climbers need to be 8 to 74, between 122 and 220 centimetres tall and 30 to 120 kilograms, and children aged 8 to 15 must climb with a booked adult.

Frequently asked questions
What are the age, height and weight limits?
Climbers must be 8 to 74, 122 to 220 cm tall and weigh 30 to 120 kg. Anyone aged 70 to 74 needs a medical declaration signed off by their own doctor, and each adult can bring at most two children aged 8 to 15.
Can a private group book the climb?
Yes. Private experiences are offered for corporate teams, social clubs, schools, birthdays and incentive groups, from a single guest up to 600 people for multi-day corporate programs. Private groups are quoted on request.
What should we wear?
Closed-toe shoes with rubber soles are compulsory, along with shorts that reach near the knee or long pants, and a top that will not ride up under the harness. Long hair needs a low ponytail, and hats cannot go under the helmet.
Can I take my phone up the bridge?
No loose items are allowed on the climb, including phones, cameras and wallets. Free lockers are provided, sunglasses get a safety strap, and every ticket includes souvenir photos sent through after the climb.
Does the climb go ahead in the rain?
Climbs run in all weather. Ponchos are sold on site for $5, extreme heat or a storm nearby can postpone a tour, and if a tour is cancelled for safety the team helps the group rebook.
