Inlighten Photography is run by Dean and Rachael Bentick, who started the business 24 years ago in a Rozelle warehouse and now work from The Commons on Crown Street in Surry Hills. Dean has spent more than three decades behind the camera, while Rachael leads the creative side as director. The studio is best known for weddings, including a Top 5 placing at the Australian Bridal Industry Awards, and it brings the same candid, natural style to family celebrations and private parties. For parties, Inlighten covers milestone birthdays, christenings and baptisms, baby celebrations, engagement parties and bridal showers. The photographer records moments as they unfold and gives guests just enough direction to look their best. Birthday and christening bookings start from $1,495 for three hours, with more time available, and photo and video can be booked together. Engagement parties are quoted separately and can be matched to your wedding coverage so the whole story looks consistent. There is also the Portrait Wall, a draped black or white backdrop where a photographer poses guests for black and white portraits over four hours, with guests scanning a QR code to find their photos within two days. Every party photo is uploaded to an online gallery, ready to view, download, print and share. Wedding clients can add highlight films, full ceremony and speech videos, 30-second teasers, drone footage, same-day edits and a social media content creator, and can watch the finished result in the studio's private 32-seat cinema. Corporate events and business photography are handled through a separate business site. Inlighten suits families and couples who want a refined, story-led record of a big celebration rather than a handful of phone snaps.
