About Middle Bar @ Kinselas Hotel
Middle Bar sits inside Kinselas Hotel on Bourke Street, and its defining features are the long marble service counter running through the room and the large windows that fill it with natural light — unusual for a bar built for night-time parties. The fit-out pairs dark hardwood floors and exposed brick arches with a simple palette of painted walls and timber, and the ceiling's recessed circular coffers and a red-carpeted staircase rising to the upper level give the room some genuine character. A built-in PA and fixed speakers handle the audio, and external DJs and guest playlists are welcome as long as the venue's noise limits are respected. An area clears for dancing when the night calls for it. The bar holds 150 standing or 40 seated, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and accessible toilets.
