About Ballroom @ The Tea Room QVB
Up on level 3 of the QVB on George Street, directly over Town Hall station, The Tea Room has a ballroom designed for a sense of occasion, with crystal chandeliers, ornate ceilings and grand proportions, matched by food and service tailored to each event. It takes 200 seated or 300 standing, and professional lighting, a projector, a PA system and a dance floor can all be provided. Catering is done in-house, with halal and wide-ranging vegetarian menus, and guests get tea and coffee on the house. Events here happen during the day, running daily between 10am and 5pm, and the liquor licence follows the same hours. That makes it a natural choice for a high tea, engagement luncheon, milestone birthday lunch, bridal shower or formal corporate lunch. Minimum spends begin at $5,000 and shift depending on the weekday and the season.
