How Quiz Rooms Actually Work

A night of trivia sounds simple, but a quiz room turns it into a television game show, and Sydney CBD & Surrounds is the easiest place in the city to gather a group for one. The experience: rounds change their rules as you go and teams can play trump cards and traps on each other, so tactics matter as much as general knowledge.
Group size: each room takes 3 to 18 players and there are three rooms, so up to 54 people can play at once, with tournaments for 70 or more by arrangement.
Booking ahead: groups larger than 18 request a quote, so allow time for that, and everyone should arrive 10 minutes early on the night.
Food and drinks: a lounge serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks after the game, and catering and drinks packages are available.

Prices start from $40 per person. A standard booking is two games in about an hour or three games in an hour and a half, and alongside the original quiz there is a Music Quiz and The Mole, which leans on bluffing. Players need to be 13 or older, and a separate Quiz Room Kids game suits ages 8 to 12.

Is there an age limit for Quiz Room?

Players need to be 13 or older for the main games. Quiz Room Kids is a separate game for ages 8 to 12.

What happens if our group is bigger than 18?

Each room holds up to 18, so bigger groups spread across the three rooms, up to 54 players at once. Groups over 18 request a quote, and tournaments for 70 or more can be arranged.
