About Team Bonding
Team Bonding has been designing group events since 2005 from its base in Warriewood, and while plenty of its work is for companies, it also plans hens and bucks parties and birthdays. Its signature event is an outdoor Amazing Race: after a quick warm-up at a central meeting point, teams follow clues to a run of checkpoints, and each stop brings a new challenge built to need everyone's input rather than one loud voice. For a celebration, the race gets rewritten with questions and tasks about the bride, groom or birthday person, and some of the classic team-building challenges are swapped for sillier ones. Planning starts with a conversation so the format suits your crowd. If a race isn't quite right, the alternatives include Game Show, an indoor contest of TV-style games; Mini Olympics, a playful sports carnival set up in a park or oval; and Alfresco Bonding, a picnic with lawn games in one of Sydney's parks. In Sydney, a race can be paired with a discounted 30-minute jet boat ride or electric go-karting at Moore Park. A race runs for roughly one and a half to two and a half hours depending on numbers, and works for groups from around eight people to well over 200. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes; matching team colours are welcome. Food and drink aren't included unless an activity says so, but catering can be added, from lunch boxes and platters to picnics and charcuterie boards, and the team can book a partner venue for afterwards. If the weather turns, an indoor Game Show can stand in for an outdoor event when a venue is free, or the date can be moved.

Do they run events for hens, bucks and birthday parties?
Yes. The Amazing Race is the usual choice, adjusted with questions and challenges about the guest of honour and fewer serious team-building tasks. Game Show, Mini Olympics and Alfresco Bonding can also be tailored for a party.
How long does the Amazing Race take, and how big can the group be?
Allow one and a half to two and a half hours, depending on how many people are racing. Groups from about eight people through to more than 200 can take part.
Is food included?
Not unless the activity description says so. Catering can be added through their catering partner, including lunch boxes, hot and cold platters, picnics and charcuterie boards, and partner finish venues offer food and drink packages.
What happens if it rains?
Many events are held outdoors, so the fallback is an indoor Game Show when a venue is available. Otherwise the event can be postponed.
What is the deposit and cancellation policy?
The 20 per cent deposit is non-refundable, but it can be used as credit towards a future Team Bonding event. Changes or cancellations within 48 hours of the event may be invoiced for staff and out-of-pocket costs.
