About KataLane
KataLane works out of a unit at Frenchs Forest and hires three distinct outdoor structures rather than one generic marquee. The Kata Tipi range is Nordic in shape, a tall canvas hat on timber poles, and comes in two sizes: the 10.5m Kata and the smaller 8.5m Kung, which link together through a modular system. The Hamptons range is sailcloth, in Komet, Kismet and Kong sizes, with a Wave connector for entrances. The Nomad stretch tents are freeform, in sandy and cream tones, and work on their own or as an open-sided extension off another structure. Size is a question of configuration rather than a fixed package list. A single Kung seats about 40 or holds 50 standing, a single Kata seats 50 to 60 with the dance floor outside, two linked Katas take 60 to 100 seated and six take 180 to 240. On the Hamptons side a 10m Komet round seats 50 to 60, a 26m x 14m Kismet 140 to 240, and a 30m x 18m Kong 300 to 400. Nomad stretch tents run from 10m x 7.5m for 24 seated up to 30m x 10.5m for 160. A floor plan is drawn for the specific site once a booking is made. Furniture is a real part of the offer. Cross-back and oak chairs, pine tables and benches, cane lounges and armchairs, parquetry and geo low tables, herringbone bar rounds and curved saloon bar units from 1.5m to 4.5m wide are largely custom-made by their own team. Woven matting, Florex timber panel flooring, dance floors in 6m, 8m and 10m diameters and a triple stage unit cover the ground, and lighting, heating and open fireplaces handle the rest. The crew delivers, installs and packs down, and a site inspection is usually carried out first.

How far ahead should I book?
For weddings and major events the site recommends booking six to twelve months ahead to hold both the date and the particular structure you want. Later requests are taken where a structure is still free, so it is worth asking even at short notice.
What does a KataLane marquee cost?
No prices are published. Quotes are prepared event by event and cover the structure, styling and logistics together, so the figure depends on which marquee, how many guests, and what furniture, lighting, heating and flooring go with it. Requests go through the quote form on the site or by phone.
Where do they travel, and who sets up?
From Frenchs Forest they cover Sydney and the northern beaches, and travel to the Central Coast, Hunter Valley, Blue Mountains, Newcastle and Southern Highlands, as well as interstate for larger jobs. Their own crew handles delivery, installation and pack-down, and for most events a site inspection is done first to check access and layout.
