About Hermetica Flowers

Hermetica Flowers has worked out of a warehouse-style studio in Woolloomooloo since 2013, under creative director and owner Jai Winnell. Its look is modern and structural, with bold colour and arrangements that read almost like sculpture. The team handles floral styling for luxury and hospitality names such as Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Paspaley, Solotel and Merivale, and has appeared in Broadsheet and Urban List. For events, the studio does everything from a single set table to large installations. Past work includes a suspended conifer piece for an Aesop fragrance launch, La Prairie events at the Sydney Opera House, the Australian Chamber Orchestra's 40th birthday gala at Sydney Town Hall, InStyle's Women of Style Awards and 10,000 hanging flowers for a Merivale event at the Ivy Ballroom. Weddings and private events have taken them to Jonah's at Whale Beach and Hopewood House in Bowral. Smaller events can be ordered online through the Build Your Event page, where you pick centrepieces, feature arrangements and cocktail-table pieces, then choose a colour palette and vase colour. Online event orders can be collected from the Woolloomooloo showroom or delivered at a set time. For larger events the team quotes directly, advising on what is in season and supplying renders and style references with the final price. Plinths can be hired for feature pieces on request. The studio also has a new first-floor space above the showroom that brands and artists can enquire about for private events.

Event flowers can be ordered from a published price list. Table centrepieces start from $150 for low and round small or mini long and low, from $200 for long and low, and from $250 for low and round large. Feature arrangements for bars, foyers, registration desks or plinths are $195 small, $350 medium, $500 large and $700 opulent. Cocktail and side-table pieces start from $85 for a low cocktail and $120 for a high cocktail. Larger custom events are quoted individually.
