About Flowers by Julia G

Flowers by Julia G is the studio of Julia Glass, a trained florist who works out of Victoria Road in Drummoyne, with entry via Wrights Road. Weddings are a big part of her work, but she also does flowers for engagement parties, birthdays and dinner parties, bridal and baby showers, christenings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and corporate events. Her style is bright and seasonal. She buys fresh from the Sydney Flower Market at Flemington, uses Australian-grown flowers where possible, and avoids floral foam where she can. Party and event flowers are ordered through an online events form where each piece has a set price. Glass bud vases hold two or three stems and are yours to keep. There are phalaenopsis orchid stem vases, and table arrangements in three sizes. Small ones suit cocktail tables. Medium ones are longer pieces for dining tables, plinths or gift tables. Large ones include two orchid stems and work as a bar or welcome-sign centrepiece. You can add fresh fruit styling to arrangements and floral pins for the cake, and upload a colour palette and reference images for Julia to work from. Weddings are quoted separately. Standard delivery within 40km of the Sydney CBD runs on the regular route. Scheduled delivery, where Julia arrives before guests and places the flowers herself, is also available. Three weeks' notice is recommended, though orders can be taken with as little as five days. On short notice, Julia picks the flowers based on what the market has. Orders placed through the events form can't be changed or refunded once paid.

Scheduled delivery with on-site placement is $75 from Monday to Saturday. Wedding flowers are quoted separately.

Service Details

Event flowers are ordered through an online form. You give the date and occasion, pick the number of bud vases and small, medium or large arrangements, and upload a colour palette and reference images. Small arrangements are 15 to 20cm wide and up to 30cm tall. Medium arrangements are 30 to 35cm long and up to 30cm tall. Large arrangements are 40cm long, up to 50cm tall and include two orchid stems. Three weeks' notice is recommended, with a minimum of five days. Orders can't be altered or refunded once paid. Julia also runs floral workshops and sells bouquets and gift hampers for delivery.
