About Bold Botanicals

Bold Botanicals is a floristry and styling studio in Sydney's Inner West, run by designer Suzanne (Suz) Robbins, who brings more than 25 years of design work to it. The studio is known for strong colour, Australian natives, wildflowers and seasonal flowers bought from local growers, with a sustainability focus that runs through how it sources stems. It is an inclusive, LGBTQIA+ owned business, and Suz still does many deliveries herself. Event work covers brand activations, luncheons, seminars, awards nights, expos and private parties such as engagement parties. Past jobs include a two-part native installation for the Sydney Peace Foundation, at the Carriageworks gala for 800 guests and at Sydney Town Hall, and a ten-day live installation at The Calyx in the Royal Botanic Garden for WorldPride 2023. Each event gets its own design to suit the brief and the budget, and the studio can add styling from its own stock of vases, plinths, draping and other decor. It also runs flower workshops for corporate teams, councils and private groups, which work well as an end-of-year team activity. Visits to the Canterbury studio (Shop 1 on Canterbury Road) are by appointment only. Event, wedding and funeral flowers go out Monday to Saturday anywhere in Sydney metro, and the team travels further for weddings. Event flowers are quoted individually to the brief and budget. Wedding collections are published: The Muse starts from a $4,500 minimum for florals only, The Chic is $6,000 including light styling, The Signature is $8,300, and The Curated starts from $11,000 with full creative direction. Bespoke weddings carry a $4,500 minimum for flowers only or $6,000 with styling, while the HITCHED studio-made wedding flowers have no minimum spend.

Service Details

Every event is designed to its own brief using locally grown and native flowers, with optional styling from the studio's own stock of vases, plinths, draping and decor. The team delivers and installs across Sydney metro Monday to Saturday for weddings, events and funerals. Bookings start with an enquiry and a 20-minute Design Clarity call by phone or Google Meet, followed by a written proposal and service agreement, and a retainer secures the date. Flower workshops can be run at a venue or at a private event.

For weddings they suggest at least six months for smaller celebrations and 12 to 18 months for larger ones, especially in the September to May peak, and they are already taking bookings into early 2028. They have turned around corporate event flowers at short notice, so it is worth asking about tighter timeframes.
