About The White Tree Band

The White Tree started in Melbourne in 2010. It now runs live music, photography and film from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The music side is a high-energy cover band built for wedding receptions and corporate events, from relaxed networking nights to gala balls. The song lists run from cocktail-hour acoustic tunes and jazz to rock and country classics, disco, soul and R&B, 80s and 90s hits and retro 60s and 70s. The band is booked by size. A 3-piece has male vocals and guitar, drums and bass. Each step up adds an instrument you choose, such as keyboard, female vocals, sax, trumpet, trombone or Latin percussion, up to an 8-piece. Every band booking covers a 5-hour call with up to four 45-minute sets (one chilled set and up to three dance sets), a PA for around 180 guests, a speech microphone and curated music between sets. Add-ons include live ceremony music from a soloist, one-hour acoustic cocktail sets, a one-hour DJ set from a band member and themed sets. There is also TWT DJ, the Live Mix (a DJ performing with live sax, trumpet or percussion) and Best Of Both, an acoustic act early in the night followed by the DJ. The band arrives 70 minutes before the start to set up and be sound-checked half an hour before guests arrive. Set times can be split around speeches and formalities, and a booking manager works through the run sheet with you in an online portal. The White Tree publishes peak Saturday wedding prices. A 3-piece band is $3,370, a 4-piece $4,270, a 5-piece $5,170, a 6-piece $6,070, a 7-piece $6,970 and an 8-piece $7,870, each on a 5-hour call. TWT DJ on its own is $2,370, and Live Mix 1 (DJ plus one live instrumentalist) is $3,300. Add-ons to a band booking include a ceremony soloist from $370 (or $590 with three songs performed live), a one-hour cocktail set at $190 for a soloist or $380 for a duo, a one-hour DJ set at $350 and themed sets from $700. There is 5% off for weekday or winter events and 5% off when you also book photography or film.
