About Zest Catering & Events
Zest Catering & Events cooks everything in its own production kitchen on Castlereagh Street, at the Haymarket end of the Sydney CBD. Its executive chef, Alex, has decades of experience in restaurants, hotels and large events. Most of its day-to-day work is office catering, but it also has a full range of event packages for company parties, cocktail functions and private celebrations, and the team can help with the wider event, from finding a venue to setting up. For parties, the simplest option is a grazing board: antipasto, cheese, Italian deli, charcuterie, dessert or seafood, delivered chilled. Boards cost from $12.50 per person for 20 or more guests, or can be ordered for 6 or 12 people. Canapé packages give you a personal chef and equipment, with six premium canapés and one or two substantial pieces, from $69 per person plus GST for 25 or more guests. Buffets start at $65 per person plus GST, sharing menus at $90 and plated two- or three-course dinners at $109. Seasonal menus cover Christmas, Melbourne Cup, Halloween, Easter and Diwali. The menus label vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and halal items, and the chefs can work around other requirements. Plated menus are written to work in an office, a home, a hired venue or on a yacht. Waiters are booked separately, and Zest suggests one per 25 to 45 guests for canapés and one per 12 for plated dinners. Weekday deliveries have a minimum spend of $90 plus GST. It suits office Christmas parties and milestone dinners where you want restaurant-style food without running a kitchen.

What is included in a canapé package?
Package One covers two hours of service with six premium canapés and one substantial canapé at $69 per person plus GST. Package Two runs three hours with two substantial canapés at $75 plus GST. Both include a personal chef, equipment, utensils, crockery and napkins, with a minimum of 25 guests.
Are waiters included?
Waiters aren't included in the canapé, buffet or plated prices and are booked on top. Zest recommends one waiter for every 25 to 45 guests at a canapé event and one for every 12 guests at a plated dinner. Contact them about chefs, bartenders or extra wait staff.
Can they cater a small group at home?
Yes. Grazing boards come in sizes for 6 or 12 people, and there is a $90 plus GST minimum spend on weekday deliveries. Plated menus can also be served in a private home, at a venue or on a yacht.
