About Charter Boat Central

Charter Boat Central is an Annandale charter business that started in 2017, growing out of its sister company Multihull Central, one of Australia's main catamaran importers and the official importer of Seawind catamarans. That link shapes the fleet: the boats are late-model Seawind sailing catamarans and Aquila power catamarans, kept under the company's own management, and the team also books a range of other vessels as an agent. The party boats run from the 12-guest Aquila 32 Lynx and the 20-guest Seawind 1000 Seabbatical up to Before Sunrise, a Seawind 1160 XL for 28, the Aquila 44 Allure for 30, and the Seawind 1260s Serendipity and Moon Glider, which take 34. A new Seawind 1370, Danielle, is set up for small groups and overnight stays. Every boat has a BBQ, eskies and a Bluetooth sound system, and most add swim steps, a freshwater shower and optional lily pads or paddleboards. The team handles birthday cruises, Christmas parties, corporate charters, engagements and New Year's Eve, along with overnight experiences and a sail training school. Charters run for at least four hours and always include a skipper and deckhand. You can bring your own food and drinks for a BYO amenity fee that covers crockery, cutlery, cups, eskies, use of the BBQ and rubbish removal, or have the team arrange seafood platters, a BBQ cooked on board or a fuller catering package, with drinks delivered by a recommended liquor supplier. Pick-ups can be from central spots such as King Street Wharf or other wharves around the harbour, and wharf fees are added per charter. It suits groups of 12 to 34 who want a private boat rather than a shared cruise.

Pricing

Charters run for a minimum of four hours and the hourly rate includes a skipper and deckhand. Seabbatical (Seawind 1000, up to 20 guests) is $350 an hour from April to September and $400 from October to March. Lynx (Aquila 32, up to 12) is $450 to $500 an hour, Before Sunrise (Seawind 1160 XL, up to 28) is $500 to $575, Serendipity and Moon Glider (Seawind 1260, up to 34) are $680 to $725, and Allure (Aquila 44, up to 30) is $900 to $950. BYO amenity fees are $150 on most boats and $200 on Allure, wharf fees are $100 per charter ($150 on Allure), and a lily pad is $100. For Christmas parties the team says a fully catered option costs around $35 per person. Private New Year's Eve charters are $17,000 on Before Sunrise, $19,000 on Moon Glider and $20,000 on Danielle.

How We Work

You can book a boat online or send an enquiry with your date and guest numbers, and the team will help match a catamaran to your group size and budget. Choose one of their set trips or have a charter tailored around your event, with at least four hours on the water. On the day a qualified skipper and deckhand run the boat, cook on the BBQ and look after guests. Food and drinks can be BYO, or the team can arrange platters, an onboard BBQ, catering packages and delivered drinks. Pick-up and drop-off can be at King Street Wharf or other harbour wharves, and extras such as lily pads and paddleboards can be added.
