About Terrace Marina Noosa

Terrace Marina Noosa sits on the Noosa River foreshore in Noosaville, on a jetty where boats have been hired out for more than 80 years. Formerly known as T Boat Hire, it is run by owners John and Victoria Manning, who brought years of boat maintenance and luxury vessel work with them, alongside a riverfront cafe. Nobody needs boating experience, as the team gives each driver a handling lesson and a safety talk at the jetty, and points out where boats may not go. Groups mostly come for the BBQ pontoons, which seat 8, 10, 12 or 25 people and carry shade, seating, tables and a gas barbecue. The marina pitches the 25-seat pontoon for birthdays, celebrations and work functions. Hires run from two hours up to a full day, which leaves time to cruise, swim off a sandbank and cook lunch on board. For something faster, guides lead jet ski tours around the river, out over the Noosa Bar to Granite Bay, or on a 1.5-hour safari with a swim stop on the Noosa North Shore. A river circuit suits first-time riders, while kayaks, stand up paddle boards and a Hobie catamaran are also on hand. The cafe opens early for coffee before the group heads out.

The 8-person BBQ pontoon is $210 for two hours, $320 for four hours and $595 for a full nine-hour day.

Jet ski hire on the river circuit starts at $120 for 30 minutes, and the 1.5-hour jet ski safari is $315. Public holiday and school holiday rates may differ.

Food

Each pontoon has a gas barbecue, and groups can bring their own food. The riverfront cafe sells breakfast, pastries and sweet and savoury snacks from 5.45am to 1pm.

Beverages

Groups may bring their own drinks on board. The cafe sells coffee, juices and cold drinks, and ice is available at the marina.

Availability

Boat hire runs from 7.30am to 6pm every day. Pontoons hire from two hours to a full day, and school holiday and public holiday rates may vary.

Do we need a boat licence?

A boat licence is not required on any bowrider or pontoon carrying 12 people or fewer, though the driver must be 18 or over. Taking more than 12 people on the 25-seat pontoon needs a driver with a current boat licence.

Is BYO food and drink allowed on the boats?
