About Kayak Noosa
Kayak Noosa runs kayak tours and group paddling programs on the Noosa River, launching from a riverside jetty in Noosaville. The calm, sheltered water suits beginners as well as more experienced paddlers. The guided Mangroves and Mansions tour lasts about two hours. It starts with some basic instruction, then heads around Noosa Sound and the Frying Pan to see the mangroves and the grand homes along the shore. A sunset guided tour is also offered. For groups, the Group Kayak Program takes up to 32 people and usually runs for one to three hours, with the length kept flexible. Corporate teams, schools and community clubs can each have it shaped as a lesson, a guided outing or just a fun paddle. Beginners paddle stable sit-on-top kayaks in one- and two-seat sizes, while more confident paddlers can take intermediate plastic or fibreglass boats. Buoyancy vests and a range of paddles are included, and the guides know the river well. Smaller groups can also take a self-guided paddle of one, two or four hours.
