About Vrina Mezze Bar
Vrina Mezze Bar is a Greek and Mediterranean restaurant and bar on Grand Parade in Parrearra, facing the waters around Kawana Island. It opens for breakfast and lunch daily, stays open into the evening later in the week, and has live music by the water. There are three ways to book a function. The private dining room is a blush-toned space with curved walls, its own bar and soft lighting, and it holds groups of 20 to 40. The waterfront terrace looks across the water and a line of trees, with clear roll-down blinds when the weather turns, and the whole restaurant can be taken over for a larger event. The kitchen works with local produce and cooks dishes designed for sharing. Function menus are seated feasts served to the middle of the table, from dips, souvlaki skewers and lemon potatoes up to a menu of crispy pork belly, chilli-lemon prawns and haloumi chips. Drinks run on packages of wine, beer and soft drinks for the first two hours, with spirits and a first-hour cocktail upgrade available on top. Celebration cakes can be brought in with approval, but no other outside food or drink. Weddings sit alongside birthdays, engagements and work celebrations, and the terrace is often styled for ceremonies and long reception tables. For casual work events there are grazing boards and breakfast platters. Functions start at 20 guests and are secured with a deposit against a prepaid minimum spend. Send an enquiry with your date, guest numbers and the type of celebration, and the team will reply within two days to finalise the menu.

Pricing
For casual work functions, grazing boards are $15 per person and breakfast platters are $80 to $90 per platter. The bar area can be hired for up to 20 guests on weekdays with a $500 minimum spend on canapés or platters.
Functions require a prepaid minimum spend, confirmed with a 20% deposit. If the minimum is not reached on the night, the shortfall is charged as a venue hire fee.
Food
The larger menus let you pick five dishes, such as crispy squid, feta croquettes, meatball kofta, grilled vegetables, crispy pork belly, chilli-lemon prawns and sesame haloumi chips. Many dishes are gluten free or can be made dairy free, and allergies should be advised with final numbers.
Beverages
Spirits with mixers can be added for $15 per person an hour, and house cocktails for $25 per person in the first hour. Spirit and cocktail add-ons must be taken with a drinks package, and BYO drinks are not allowed.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can the private dining room hold?
The private dining room suits groups of 20 to 40 guests. For larger events the restaurant offers its waterfront terrace or hire of the entire venue.
What do the function food packages cost?
Seated shared packages start at $65 per person for the Opa menu. The Coastal Mezze is $80 per person and the Olympia Feast is $105 per person, each letting you choose five dishes for the table.
Is there a fee to book the private dining room?
The private dining room carries a $500 hire fee on top of a food package, and there is no minimum spend for that room.
Can we bring our own cake or decorations?
A celebration cake can be brought in once it has been approved, but other outside food and drinks are not allowed. Decorations need the functions manager's approval first, and explicit party accessories are not permitted.

We had a great lunch here on Sunday. The burger was juicy and cheesy, and the chips were good. The trio of dips was tasty. They actually got my drink right and the coffee and chocolate eclair was on point. I’d have liked…
