About EK Studio
EK Studio is the Sunshine Coast wedding photography team of Kaity and Ethan. Their approach is documentary rather than staged: they work with a light touch, give gentle prompts when a moment needs it, and otherwise step back so the day runs at its own pace. The result is natural, warm images of what really happened. They cover everything from intimate elopements to large, polished weddings. Most of their couples admit to feeling awkward in front of a camera, so a big part of the job is putting people at ease. A pre-wedding or engagement shoot can be booked beforehand – an easy afternoon somewhere scenic that doubles as a chance to get to know each other. When planning coverage, they suggest working from the first moment you want photographed, such as getting ready or guests arriving, through to the last, whether that is speeches or the dance floor. Many couples land on about 6 to 8 hours. You can expect roughly 75 to 100 images per hour, with galleries usually delivered in 2 to 4 weeks. For portraits, about 30 minutes is plenty, ideally in the softer light before sunset and close to your guests. Their Sunshine Coast portfolio includes weddings at Bistro C and Noosa Springs in Noosa, Jim's Lawn at Sunrise Beach, Maleny Manor and Tiffanys in Maleny, and Riverwood. Dates are secured once the deposit is paid, so send an enquiry early to check availability.
