Christmas Party Venues in Mooloolaba

What to Know Before Booking Christmas Party Venues

Two of Mooloolaba's three Christmas venues share an address at The Wharf on Parkyn Parade, and the third sits on the Esplanade at the beach. The Dock Mooloolaba and Wharf Events look across the marina, while The Surf Club Mooloolaba hands over its top-floor Bayview room for work functions.

How the three compare for an office Christmas party:

Wharf Events seats 180 or holds 250, and a partition creates a section for 20 to 80, with canapé packages priced from $36 per person.
There is no hire fee for the Wharf Events room, but each date carries a minimum spend.
The Dock Mooloolaba's River Bar takes 100, or 50 on a half hire, and canapé packages start from $24 per person.
The Dock's Private Dining Room seats 42 behind glass doors, with a large screen for the year in review.
The Surf Club Mooloolaba suits 80 to 120 across the enclosed deck and dining room, with packages shaped to the budget.

Under 25: the Lounge at The Dock, a raised semi-private corner off the main floor.
40 to 80: the Dock's Private Dining Room, or a partitioned section of Wharf Events.
80 to 120: the Surf Club's Bayview room, offered exclusively on limited dates.
Over 120: the full Wharf Events floor, up to 250 cocktail-style.

Speeches, drinks and timing at The Wharf and the surf club

Wharf Events has two projectors with screens, a lectern, microphones and in-house sound.
The Dock sells standard, premium or deluxe drinks packages over two to four hours, or a tab you cap.
The Wharf Events bar is run by the venue's own staff, with hourly packages, a tab or a cash bar.
At the Surf Club, groups of 20 or more go through the functions enquiry rather than reception.
