Christmas Party Venues in Maroochydore

What to Know Before Booking Christmas Party Venues

Maroochydore's Christmas options span a council-run rooftop and two taverns with private rooms. Altitude Nine suits a polished end-of-year event with coastal views, while Duporth Tavern and the Function Room @ The Sands Tavern give teams a pub function with set menus and drinks packages.

Comparing the three for a work Christmas:

Altitude Nine holds 180 cocktail-style or 112 at long banquet tables, priced from $2,150 room hire, with a separate experience spend covering food and drinks.
That fee pays for the room's staff, cleaning and audio-visual gear, and for arranging the floor plan you pick.
Duporth Tavern spreads across five areas, from the Vineyard for about 30 to the 1911 space and terrace for 300, with canapés from $29 per person.
At The Sands Tavern, the Function Room has a projector and in-house audio for 100 seated, and set menus run from $50 per person.
Opening the Sands room onto the Deck lifts numbers to 230, with formalities inside and mingling outdoors.

Up to 50: the Sunset room upstairs at Duporth Tavern, with a private bar, a presentation TV and air conditioning.
Around 100 seated: the Sands Tavern function room with alternate-drop set menus.
150 to 180: Altitude Nine, set as theatre rows for a year-end address or as a cocktail party.
200 to 300: Duporth Tavern's 1911 space and terrace, or the Sands room combined with the Deck.

Christmas budgets and logistics

Altitude Nine shapes hospitality to each booking rather than selling fixed menus, and its team can help with styling.
Duporth Tavern sells two-, three- and four-hour drinks packages, and one bar staff member is included.
The Sands Tavern offers standard, premium or deluxe drinks packages, a capped bar tab or a cash bar.
Altitude Nine hires seven days a week between 6am and 10pm, which opens the door to a breakfast celebration rather than the usual evening do.
