Wedding Reception Venues in Caloundra

Choosing the Right Wedding Reception Venue

Caloundra couples choose between two very different receptions: a waterfront restaurant at Bulcock Beach or a racecourse with seven function rooms. Guest numbers often settle it, since one tops out at 100 and the other runs to 300.

Waterside dinner or racecourse reception:

Acqua Restaurant & Bar faces Pumicestone Passage, and whole-venue hire takes 70 to 80 seated or 90 to 100 standing.
Exclusive bookings at Acqua use set menus, with seafood, pasta, risotto and grilled meats from the kitchen.
Sunshine Coast Turf Club's Atrium overlooks the track with seating for 150, while The Establishment suits 150 to 300 guests.
The Turf Club's cocktail menus start from $60 per person, with plated dinners and four- or five-hour drinks packages.
The racecourse can organise live music or a DJ, and its rooms carry in-house audio for speeches.

Exclusive hire opens the indoor and outdoor areas together.
Local produce such as Mooloolaba prawns and scallops features on the menu.
Drinks for a whole-venue booking run on an open tab.
The front deck alone suits an intimate wedding lunch for about 20 seated.

Racecourse weddings at the Turf Club

Mid-sized weddings of roughly 50 to 230 can use Atrium Dining, the Champagne Garden by the Winning Post or The Pavilion marquee.
The events team handles set-up, service, styling and entertainment bookings.
Membership is not needed to book.
Ask whether your date falls on a race day, as rooms are hired on both race and non-race days.
