School Formal Venues in Caloundra

Choosing the Right School Formal Venue

Caloundra's two formal listings suit different year groups. The Events Centre Caloundra lists school formals outright for its Kings Theatre, whereas the Sunshine Coast Turf Club offers trackside rooms that also run gala dinners.

Comparing the two for a graduating class:

The Kings Theatre takes formal groups between 150 and 400 and has a big proscenium stage for presentations and acts.
For a dinner-dance feel, the Glasshouse at The Events Centre seats 300, and its LED lighting and AV rigging make theming easy.
The Establishment, an indoor-outdoor space at the Turf Club, holds 150 to 300.
The Atrium sits above the track at the Turf Club and seats up to 150 across its dining area and booths.
Each venue has its own sound and screens, and a DJ can be booked through the Turf Club.

A school that wants a stage for presentations has one in the Kings Theatre.
Mood lighting in the Glasshouse helps carry a formal theme.
The Glasshouse walls can open to the Reef Room and Kings Theatre, making one space of 1,432 square metres for a very large cohort.
The Turf Club rooms are air-conditioned and DJ friendly.
