About Catalina Noosa

Catalina Noosa is a 20-metre power catamaran, MV Catalina, that works as a floating function space on the Noosa River. Its base is the riverfront at Noosaville, and it takes private charters of up to 150 people spread over two open-air levels, alongside its public weekend sunset cruises. Downstairs is closed in against the weather, with a bar, a lounge and an open galley where the food is prepared. Upstairs, retractable awnings cover the whole roof for shade or a passing shower, and on clear nights the crew can open it up so the dance floor sits under the stars. The events team plans weddings, elopements, engagement parties, milestone birthdays, hens and bucks nights, Christmas work functions and corporate events, from conference galas to client evenings. Wedding couples can use the boat for the ceremony, reception, guest transfers or a recovery cruise the morning after. Food is canapé-style by default, with seated menus for smaller groups, dietary needs covered and a cake-cutting service. Music can be your own playlist or a live band, and DJs come from the venue's own list of local regulars. Outside stylists, florists and photographers are welcome, though all catering stays in-house. Charters can pick guests up from several jetties around Noosa, and the team suggests itineraries of two to five hours.

Catalina Noosa quotes every private charter individually. Booking the whole boat is from $5,900. On top of that, food is from $25 a head and drinks packages are from $60 a head. Prices shift with the season, and the team can suggest other dates or time slots to fit a budget.

Food

All food is prepared on board in the open galley, and outside caterers are not permitted. Menus are mostly roaming canapés and more substantial bites for mingling, with seated dining available for smaller groups, common dietary requirements catered for and a cake-cutting service.
