About Noosa Queen
The Noosa Queen is a family-run riverboat that has worked the Noosa River since 1970, making her one of the longest-serving vessels on the water. She is a multi-deck motor vessel built for smooth river conditions, with a saloon deck styled like an old-time pub, complete with lounge seating and a bar, plus covered and open-air spaces at the bow, the stern and up top. Private charters take up to 65 guests and suit hens and bucks parties, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, work parties and corporate events. A standard charter runs for three hours and includes a skipper, bar staff, boarding 45 minutes early to decorate, tables, chairs, tablecloths, glassware, a Bluetooth sound system and rubbish removal. A microphone is available for speeches. The bar on board is fully licensed. There's no in-house catering for charters, so groups bring in a caterer of their choice, and an oven on board keeps hot food warm. Wedding packages go further, with a celebrant, grazing tables, waitstaff, early access for styling and a full pack-down afterwards. Cruises leave from the end of the dock at Noosa Marina in Tewantin and head upriver to Lake Cooroibah, passing Makepeace Island and the cable ferry along the way, and pelicans, sea eagles and kangaroos are often spotted. Pick-ups from Noosaville or the Noosa Woods jetty can be added for a fee. Send an enquiry with your date and guest numbers.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can the Noosa Queen take?
Private charters cater for up to 65 guests, with one price tier for groups of 30 or fewer and another for 31 to 65 guests.
Can we bring our own food?
Yes. The boat doesn't offer in-house catering for charters, so you book your own caterer, and there's an oven on board for heating dishes. Drinks are served from the licensed bar.
What's included in a standard charter?
A skipper and bar staff, 45 minutes of early boarding to set up, tables, chairs, tablecloths and glassware, a Bluetooth sound system and rubbish removal. A microphone can be requested.
Where do charters board?
Guests board at the end of the dock at Noosa Marina in Tewantin. For an added fee, groups can be collected from the Noosaville riverfront or the Noosa Woods jetty at Noosa Heads.
Is the boat suitable for guests with limited mobility?
Boarding involves two small steps, and there are narrow walkways and more steps to the bathroom, so guests with limited mobility should come with someone who can help. The toilet isn't wheelchair accessible.
