About AmberChes Distillery Swan Valley
AmberChes Distillery is a family-owned spirits maker on Great Northern Highway in Baskerville, in the heart of the Swan Valley. It produces gins, vodkas and liqueurs from local botanicals and fruit, and its cellar door sits among the vines. The main group activity is gin blending. Guests taste their way through the AmberChes gins, from the botanical gin to the fruity raspberry, then work through a tray of botanicals with a guide to build a blend that suits them. Each person bottles 200mL to take home, and the class includes a G&T. For something more involved, the gin distilling masterclass takes place in a dedicated gin classroom lined with small copper stills. Each guest chooses botanicals, runs the distillation and ends up with a 500mL bottle, bottled and labelled. A cheese sharing platter and a G&T follow. The distillery promotes both classes for private parties and corporate groups, including team celebrations and end-of-year work Christmas parties. Groups too large for a public class can arrange their own time, and people sharing a still can be set up on request. To round out the visit, the team can quote catering and drinks, from platters and wraps to hot food and a bar tab, with the price set by group size and dietary needs.
