About Ultimate Watersports South Perth
This watersports operator grew out of wakeboarding on the Swan River, and its Perth base still sits on Mill Point Road in South Perth, facing the city skyline. From here the team runs jet ski hire and guided river tours, plus wakeboarding, group tubing and paddle board and kayak hire. For a group, tubing is the easiest shared option. Riders aged six and up hang on to a purpose-built tube behind a jet ski for a 10, 20 or 30 minute run, choosing a gentle or lively pace, and it is booked per person with at least two riders. The guided tour runs for 2.5 hours. After a briefing, riders follow an instructor for 90 minutes past Matilda Bay, Elizabeth Quay, Optus Stadium and the Matagarup Bridge, then finish with a freestyle session. Jet ski hire uses Sea-Doo GTI skis priced per ski, fuel included, with room for two riders, and a 160hp Yamaha is available for more power. A one-hour hire or the tour needs no skipper's ticket, though drivers must be 16. Bookings are paid by card, the matching card and photo ID are checked on arrival, and every activity depends on the weather.

Do riders need a boat licence for the jet skis?
