Andrea Edwards is a civil marriage celebrant based in Dawesville who conducts weddings around Mandurah and across Perth's southern fringe, as far as Byford. Her daughter talked her into becoming a celebrant so she could officiate her wedding, and what began as a family favour turned into work she now loves. Every booking starts with a no-obligation meeting. Andrea uses it to hear your plans, show you sample certificates and a ceremony outline, explain the difference between an elopement and a traditional ceremony, and walk you through the Notice of Intended Marriage. Couples leave with a wedding checklist, plus ideas for vows, ring exchange wording, readings, songs and unity rituals that can involve family members. Ceremonies can be intimate, traditional or themed – think comic book fans or Game of Thrones. Andrea is an animal lover, so a much-loved pet is welcome to play a part. She brings a PA system and a Bluetooth-capable microphone for your music, prints your personal vows on keepsake cards, and discusses a rehearsal, held at the venue where possible. The legal ceremony is a short signing of about 15 minutes for up to six guests, held at her home in Dawesville or a local cafe or spot within 20 km. Traditional and themed weddings run for around 30 minutes. Wedding fees are quoted on enquiry.
