About Marry Me Josh
Marry Me Josh is the celebrant business of Josh Henderson, based in Perth's city centre. His style is light and fun – he wants the ceremony to feel like three good mates having a great time, with your closest people along for the ride – but it is built on a lot of preparation, with roughly 20 hours spent on each couple. After the legal paperwork is sorted, couples receive ceremony ideas and a vow-writing guide by email. About six to ten weeks out there is a detailed planning catch-up where the ceremony is designed together and the rehearsal is booked. Josh helps with vow drafts if you get stuck, then prints them on sturdy card for the day. On the wedding day he arrives an hour early to set up his sound gear, check the layout and talk through the plan with your photographer, musicians and other suppliers. He plays music from before the guests arrive until about half an hour after the ceremony, warms the crowd up before you walk in, and can even put out reserved seating signs or source petals for the flower girl. Once you are married he double-checks and lodges the paperwork and emails tips on changing your name. Couples who want the same care at the reception can also book Josh as MC and on-the-day coordinator, as a helper who keeps a family MC on track, or as DJ for the night.
