About Soul Provider Catering
Soul Provider Catering cooks the food of the American South and the Caribbean for weddings, work functions and private gatherings around Perth. The menu draws on Haitian, Trinidadian, Cuban and Creole cooking, so guests might find jerk chicken skewers, crispy griot pork with pikliz and coconut-braised lamb ribs doing the rounds on the same night. There are two ways to serve it. The branded food truck can park up at an outdoor event and serve guests from its window, while the canapé packages send small plates around the room. Canapé options run from four pieces a guest chosen from three canapés, up to nine pieces from seven, or three canapés plus a more filling dish such as a soul bowl or jambalaya. Late-night bites – a fried chicken roll, a roast pork toastie or a mushroom taco – can be added to any package for the end of the evening. Most dishes are labelled gluten-free and dairy-free, and vegans can choose Trinidadian doubles, spiced lentils and okra on coconut rice, a jackfruit curry or a vegan soul bowl. Packages are designed for 30 guests or more, with chefs, wait staff and the truck each priced to the event and a travel charge for venues outside the Perth CBD.

Frequently asked questions
What kind of food does Soul Provider Catering serve?
The menu mixes Southern American and Caribbean cooking – jerk chicken skewers, Haitian griot pork bites with pikliz, Creole chicken wings, coconut-braised lamb ribs, po' boy sliders, jambalaya and Cubano toasties.
How do the canapé packages work?
There are four options: 4 pieces a guest from 3 canapés, 7 pieces from 5, 9 pieces from 7, or 3 canapés plus a substantial dish such as a soul bowl. Late-night bites can be added to any of them.
Is there a minimum number of guests?
Yes. The canapé packages are designed for a minimum of 30 guests, so the service suits weddings, work functions and larger gatherings rather than very small dinners.
Can Soul Provider Catering handle vegan and gluten-free guests?
Most dishes are marked gluten-free and dairy-free, and vegan choices include Trinidadian doubles, spiced lentils with okra, a jackfruit and coconut curry and a vegan soul bowl, with vegetarian options throughout.
Can the food truck come to our event, and are staff included?
The truck can be booked subject to availability and is quoted separately, as are chefs and wait staff. Venues outside the Perth CBD attract a travel charge, and public holidays carry a 10% surcharge.
